NeViSo wants to be an indispensable social partner in its surroundings, the largest provider of social- economic stimulating projects for the youth (young migrants) in the field of culture, education, integration, leisure activities and employment.

NeViSo stands for the improvement of socially - economic position of young people, with special emphasis on young migrants in the surroundings where we operate. Because we started in Amsterdam Southeast, the activities are very much focused on this area. Our activities create a platform for young people to develop their potentials and provide an outlet for young people to manifest their skills in a positive way.

Moreover the projects we undertake must contribute positively in the lives of young ones in their process of becoming responsible adults.

NeViSo on one hand aims on entrepreneurs that stimulate their employees to undertake social activities and on the other hand, youths who want to develop themselves and their talents.

NeViSo uses the tutor-student concept. The board of directors and the project managers are being paired up with people from the business life. The same method is used within the project itself.

By using this concept NeViSo gifs the youth the opportunities to obtain work experience, in an amusing but educative way, to prepare them for the society.

Next to that, the companies and government organizations will get the opportunity to stimulate their employees to develop social activities to benefit the work environment and its citizens.

Working Method


The above mentioned is divided in 2 concepts: The B.O.S. Concept and The J.O.T. Concept

Both concepts focus on stimulating the work opportunity, culture participation, useful leisure activities and education, where the emphasis is laid on the unformed talents, interests, skills, wishes and needs of the youth.

The Youth in Action programme funds and supports European projects for young people aged between 13-30 years old. The programme aims to develop a sense of personal responsibility, initiative, concern for others, civic participation and active involvement among young people at local, national and European level. The programme will also help to improve support systems for youth activities.

The Neviso Foundation supports the mentioned objectives above and guides the youth with handing in applications based on youth exchanges, youth initiative and European volunteers work (EVS).

European Voluntary Service (EVS)

European Voluntary Service (EVS)
The aim of the European Voluntary Service is to support young people's participation in various forms of voluntary activities, both within and outside the European Union.

Under this Action, young people (aged 18 to 30) take part individually or in groups in non-profit, unpaid activities. The service may last up to twelve months. In exceptional cases, young people from 16 years old may participate in European Voluntary Service.

Youth Initiatives

Youth Initiatives
This sub-Action supports group projects designed at local, regional and national level. It also supports the networking of similar projects between different countries, in order to strengthen their European aspect and to enhance cooperation and exchanges of experiences between young people. Youth Initiatives address mainly young people between 18 and 30. Young people from the age of 15 may be admitted if accompanied by a youth worker or coach.

Youth Exchanges

Youth Exchanges
Youth Exchanges offer an opportunity for groups of young people (in principle aged 13 to 25) from different countries to meet and learn about each other’s cultures. The groups plan together their Youth Exchange around a theme of mutual interest.

Inside Neviso there is a separate project organization bureau called Talent Development Sevices (Bureau TDS).

Youth Project Office TDS is a collaboration between janZ`Nadvies bureau, Yeboart Consultancy and NeViSo Foundation.

Tetauko Clinic: Bringing HealthCare in walking distance

The purpose of the project Tetauko Clinic: Bringing HealtCare in walking distance is primary help on medical area which we can offer to the population in the village Kaadi and the nearby villages. Next to the medical help ,the accent is on the special care allotment towards children of pregnant women.

Movie Premiere: Raj, the dancer (van Viker)

NeViSo Foundation has organized a cultural activity for al residents in Amsterdam on the 19th of September 2009 in the Bijlmer Parktheater, through the Movie Premiere of the Ghanaian film: Raj, The dancer with the attendance of the leading actor Van Viker.
Van Viker a famous actor within the Ghanaian/ Nigerian community and even well known among the Surinamese community. http://www.vanvickerlive.com

ICC Bawku

The Internet Community Centre Bawku (ICC Bawku), is a public-access facility providing electronic communication services, in Bawku (Upper East Ghana). The Community Centre provides training for the local community especially the youth. ICC serves as avenues for providing universal access communications and multimedia services to rural communities since they provide access to telephones, faxes, computer, the Internet, photocopiers and other equipment and services. Gaziantep: An archaic city on the junction of cultures (Turkey)

NeViSo Foundation participated in the exchange project called: Gaziantep An archiac city on the junction of cultures.

From the 4th of October until the 12th of October the Turkish organization presented: Gelisim Genclik ve Spor Kulübü Dernegi in Turkey. This was an exchange project for young people between the age of 18 and 25 from the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia.

The exchange took place in Gaziantep, a city in the south-eastern of Turkey. The participants visited the city and experience the ancient times but also the new futures of the city. They visited the museums but the main goal was to experience the different cultures of the other countries participating in the exchange project.

Development Aid 2 Sustainable (DA2SD)

Foundation Neviso organised in collaboration with Yeboart Consultancy in the prospect of the program Development Aid 2 Sustainable (DA2SD) in 2008 in 4 big capitals a number of consultancy en network meetings to involve the Multicultural Young Professionals (MYP’s into the collaboration of development work. Beyond Our Borders (International Xplore programme)

The NeViSo Foundations has organized in cooperation with Yeboart Consultancy
the Xplore programme: BEYOND OUR BORDERS.
16 youngsters had to formulate a programme of minimal 2 weeks about the causes and consequences of our globalizing society on the themes of education, entrepreneurship, brain drain/gain and employment. (www.beyondourborder.com)

Beyond our Borders: Exhibit your talents in Europe

Beyond our Borders: Exhibit your talents in Europe is an exchange project of the NeViSo foundation (financed by Youth in Action) where the countries the Netherlands (guest country), Belgium, Greece en Poland act as ambassadresses of their countries with the purpose to introduce the youngsters with the different cultures of all the participating countries.

For example you can think about the following topics: education and work options, leisure and daily activities, life experiences.

From 4th of July till the 13th of July 2009, youngsters from Greece, Poland and Belgium will come to the Netherlands to get together with 13 Dutch youngster for the international project Beyond our Borders. During this project they will get in contact with European cultures, arts, tastes, talents etc..
